El Padron is a stone's throw away from the centre of the town of Estepona but is set in beautiful countryside with panoramic views of the Sierra Bermeja mountain range and the Mediterranean Sea across to Africa and Gibraltar.
Estepona itself is a fast-growing town with a bustling Marina. Boasting many 5 Star Hotels surpassed only by Madrid and Barcelona. Situated midway between Malaga and the duty-free port of Gibraltar, it offers easy access from either airport. It's just a short drive west of Marbella and Puerto Banus, along Costa del Sol's "Golden Mile".
Estepona has developed from a quiet fishing village into a prosperous town of around 37,000 inhabitants, yet it has retained its traditional "Spanish charm". It is definitely a place where the Spanish prefer to take their holidays.
You won't find high-rise hotels or the "touristy" night-clubs, but you will find a proliferation of traditional tapas bars, some typical "pubs", many good restaurants and, for the younger set, a number of new "theme" bars.
